Summer Fun!

Before Josh left we took Elise to see Fancy Nancy at Main street theater. It was a great show!

We were devastated that Josh had to leave to go back to Saudi. The USA is just not the same without him. We sent him off on his long flight with long hugs and tears! We were so sad, but also so relieved that we were able to stay in the states longer. We weren't quite ready to go back to the land of sand!

We had so much fun this summer with all of our family and friends. We were SO busy I didn't have time to sit down and blog. We were going back and forth between San Antonio and Houston and having the best time!

I loved getting to spend time with sweet, Larkin! I miss her so much it hurts. I love the age her and Claire are in. It is so much fun!

The big kids were excited to go see a show at the Magic Theater in San Antonio.

Elise thought she was a movie star when we went to the fancy hair cut place Marissa goes to. She even got a hand massage! Seriously!

When they weren't fighting with each other...these two were really cute! ;)

Kiddie Park is definitely one of Elise's favorite things to do in SA. Claire quickly realized how much fun it was too!

San Antonio has a new museum called Doseum. It was pretty awesome and definitely rivals the Houston Children's museum. Claire's favorite area was the veterinarian area.

I was a little nervous about Elise's dentist appointment...because let's just say the first one wasn't a huge success. I'm so proud of my little girl! She did fabulous this time!

Had SO much fun catching up with Erin and the boys and REESE! She is precious. Erin had a special birthday party for Elise and she and I went out to fancy dinner while James watched the kiddos!

Claire loved playing dress up at Granny's house!

When you go out to dinner with PawPaw you get whatever you want,,,which includes balloon animals/figures! Josh says he never got that when he was a kid!

James sent us these hilarious pictures of the kids while he was watching them!

It took forever for Claire to get on a ride at Chuck E Cheese! She was so scared!

Everyone was happy when KK came because we all got donuts!!!

On my list was to take Elise to a movie since Saudi doesn't allow movie theaters. She loved the popcorn and movie.

We celebrated all of our birthdays together!!

Elise loved that she got to celebrate her birthday at Gregory's school.

She loves her new mermaid fin!

It's safe to say that Bella is one of Claire's favorites! She is constantly concerned about her.

Can't believe we won't see them for months!

We ended the birthday celebration at Rainforest Cafe!

It was so hard to leave San Antonio after spending the summer with everyone.  The way the dates worked out, we had to leave on Elise's birthday. I hated doing that to her, but I tried to make it fun. When we got to Sugar Land, we went out to dinner and then we stopped and got them cake pops!

We celebrated her birthday in Sugar Land! She wanted a Sophia the First party! I didn't get enough pictures this day!

And here we go...I still can't believe this is our life.
We took the Emirates direct flight to Dubai..and I was ALONE with both kids. Yes, I feel like I deserve a medal...or jewelry of some sort! ;)

I have to admit. The kids did pretty amazing.  Emirates was absolutely amazing. We actually ate the food!! It's a 16 hour flight to Dubai and I swear they cleaned the bathrooms every hour. I was completely impressed.

Maybe this is why I didn't think it was so bad...

What I came home to...waiting in Dammam Airport...ugh!

On the other side of that was JOSH! I tried not to cry...we were so excited to see him and I was completely exhausted. It was an overwhelming feeling. The girls were ecstatic as well. He didn't have any extra hands. Elise insisted that he carry her to the car.
We were great with jet lag, too! The girls and I recovered in about a week.
