Losing a Friend

It's sometimes difficult to live over here...there, I said it-I know you all were thinking it must be! I usually try to be as positive as possible.
It's funny, but I never thought that having a friend repatriate would be one of the many hard aspects of living here.
Jeanette and her family repatriated to the Woodlands this week and I am so thrilled for their family that they are back in the USA! It will just be hard to be here without her and her sweet family.
Jeanette was the first person I met in KSA- I had followed her blog religiously before moving over here and couldn't believe she had come over here with a 2 year old and pregnant at that! I remember telling Josh I thought she was crazy....little did I know it was just the beginning of a lifelong friendship.
We spent our last weekend together-in the desert...literally! We dug up sand roses out in the middle of Saudi Arabia! It was fun and scary all at the same time!

One of the scary parts is a man on a camel came up on us out of nowhere! Turns out--he just wanted some cash for a ride on his camel!
