The girls were super excited!
Our plane landed at 6 30 in the morning in Phuket, so we had some time to kill before our room was available. Luckily, we were able to put our suits on and go outside. The kids loved the turtle sanctuary at the hotel.
One of the reasons we came to this hotel was because of the kids club and all the activities they have for them. Elise doesn't like to be there alone so I would bring her whenever they had a fun activity planned.
This day they went on a pirate treasure hunt around the hotel.
The girls loved the breakfast each morning that came with waffles and chocolate syrup!
We thought Claire would be more fearless with the slide, but this was the 2nd and last time she actually went on it!
The hotel has daily complimentary Popsicle and fruit for the kids at the pool.
Elise had requested getting her hair wrapped ever since we said we were going back to Thailand!
Josh and I got a babysitter and had happy hour at The Tree House restaurant/bar next door to our hotel.
We went to explore the Sunday night market for some cheap food and cheap shopping!
The next morning we got up early to head to the Siam Safari for our elephant trek! Please take note, the shirt Claire has on is NOT what I had her in on the way there. We had a big issue with car sickness on the way there. Poor baby and poor daddy who was also covered. ;)
That night Josh and I went out for a nice Thai dinner at the hotel. The view was awesome, overlooking the beach.
The next morning was by our favorite day! I had booked the John Gray Sea Canoe based on reviews on trip advisor. It did not disappoint!!
It started off at 11 30 in the morning which was so nice we didn't have to wake up really early.
The boat takes you to hollow islands where you have to enter on canoes through sea caves. Some of the cave entrances are so low you have to lay down flat on the canoe. One of the first ones we entered was a bat cave. Our canoe guide had to put on a headlamp so we could see. It was eerily quiet and pitch black.
Once you get past the cave you enter in to a beautiful lagoon. The first one had two monkeys roaming around!
Our guide, Sun was so great, he let Elise try to do some rowing!
Towards the end of the trip, everyone makes their own Kratong flower for the Loi Kratong night ceremony.
When you put them in the water you are to apologize if you have peed in the water (seriously)...I had to of course apologize for several times...and then you make a wish. It was so beautiful to see everyone's lights on in the cave.
Our last day we got up and headed to the beach! We were sad it was our last day in paradise!
The resort does a weekly fire show that we got to see!
We had a great dinner at the hotel at the Japanese restaurant.
We were not ready to head back to Saudi (aka no pork or alcohol)!! We had our final drinks until June and then headed back!
I was able to watch movies on both flights coming and going because my seat was all by myself! It was very nice to hear the kids whining and not having to deal with it. ;)
