We celebrated my birthday with some friends at the new compound in Jubail. It is just so nice to be able to go out to eat without wearing your abaya. We had a great time!
These girls got as much playing time in before we all left for Houston.
We can't believe how much the girls have grown this year. It is incredible. They have had a really good school year!
Her last day of school her class went on a field trip to sparkys. It's our version of Chuck E Cheese...yes...when you are in Saudi your options are limited for field trips! There are no zoos, theaters, or museums!
I was depressed thinking about telling Love bye. We don't know if we will be seeing her again as her husbands job is kind of up in the air right now. She has been such a good friend while we have been here in Saudi and I can't imagine her not being there when we return. I'm hopeful that it all works out and so is Claire!! Love is one of her favorites and they have a sweet relationship.
And we were finally off!! We haven't been to America since last summer. The excitement had been building for weeks!! The girls were so excited to get on the big plane! I was praying those 19 hours would be smooth!
The girls loved all the animals on the plane.
We made it!! When the pilot said, "welcome to Houston" Josh and I just stared at each other with goofy grins on our faces. It's a happiness I can't even describe.
