Oman

I am so thankful that we had a short weekend getaway this past weekend. It was a very rough week before this one. Claire was very sick last week and we ended up in and out of the doctors for a week. It was so horrible I can't even write about it! Needless to say, we needed this vacation.
We had this vacation planned for awhile with our friends. Oman is only an hour flight from Dammam so it's an easy place to get to from here.
Oman was so beautiful. It has a very rocky terrain, which is much different than Saudi. It was also very hot!
We took the 9:00 Oman Air flight out and ended up getting to our hotel around 1 AM. We were all exhausted and fell right asleep. The next morning we got up and got started with an amazing buffet breakfast.

We got babysitters our first night and went out to a nice dinner downstairs at the resort. It was all you can eat seafood buffet and it did not disappoint!

 The kids club offered several activities for the kids. One of them was henna tattoos. Elise and Lauren were very excited!

We went to see "My Fair Lady" at the Muscat opera house. It was really fun to do something different!

Our friends, Shelly and John had a kid party and watched all of the kids so we could go out to dinner.
