Granny and PawPaw come to Saudi Arabia!

We were all thrilled that Josh's parents came to Saudi for a visit! The girls had been counting down to their arrival! They landed at such a great time, Josh went to pick them up from the airport and we were able to have dinner and send them off to bed.

Elise had a bucket list she wanted to complete with them while they were here, so we set off to accomplish everything on it!
First, we had a Valentine party and invited all of her friends from school over!

Ms. Heather painted their feet!

They went to the playground!

They got to check out her classroom and meet her teacher!

We took them to Bahrain one day, just the adults!

We had a great lunch at Trader Vic's

Josh snapped this picture because you can see Saudis in the back drinking beer!

Then, we headed off to Dubai for the weekend!

Josh's family has some close family friends that we stayed with! They own a beautiful home and have beautiful cars as well! They treated us like kings and queens!

Claire loved having all of her breakfast cooked special for her!

Not your typical garage...

We had a great lunch at the restaurant at the Emirates Hills club.

We went out to the Bab Al Shams Resort and did free camel rides and took a really neat desert drive!

There is no graceful way to get off of a camel!

It was so windy, it ruined my perfect picture opportunity!

Poor Claire couldn't even walk in the sand!

Claire quickly got used to being treated like royalty!

We headed off to the Dubai Mall Aquarium. We had done this before, but knew Claire didn't remember.

Shomail took us out for a drink at a local pub!

We had an awesome dinner at the Grosvenor's house.

Happy Valentine's Day! We had to head back to Saudi after our fun weekend getaway!

With PawPaw and Granny leaving soon we had to finish our bucket list! The girls really enjoyed bowling!

We went to Elise's favorite restaurant, The Steak House--it sounds a whole lot fancier than it is!!

Wish she didn't have her eyes closed, but she was so excited to see Granny every morning at the bus stop!

We had to get Dairy Queen!

The girls were very sad the night they left! I was glad the next day we were busy with a school Valentine party to keep us occupied!
