Bahrain and Losing Teeth

These pictures are in no particular order--It took me forever to download them because of our slow internet over here!!

Last weekend, we decided to celebrate Thanksgiving by going to Bahrain. We enjoyed a great brunch with friends. The food was amazing and the girls loved everything too.

They had flamingos in the back!

We love the Mexican restaurant at the Gulf Hotel. They always have live music which keeps the kids entertained..and of course we always have their ipads on nights like this!

One of our favorite breakfast stops is Rics Kountry. They have home cooked food that Josh loves. They always have yummy bacon and pancakes.

We found a lot of cool Christmas stuff in Bahrain!

Two weeks ago, Elise had a pajama night at the school library. Josh took her while Claire and I stayed home. They had a lot of fun reading books together!

Elise received her star of the week book back and it is the sweetest thing! The teacher had them each write a message to her.

We were very excited to see a little piece of home in Tamimis today!

OTHER BREAKING NEWS: IT RAINED IN SAUDIA ARABIA...like just a little..but enough for us to get umbrellas out and for them to cancel school for TWO days! HA

The girls doing virtual school at Starbucks. Virtual school is what they call it here when there's no school. It still counts as a school day, we just get all assignments online. We print them out or for the older kids they just complete them online.

When we were in Bahrain, Elise and Claire went to the fancy, Hello Kitty spa. They got to wear robes and felt oh so special!
Claire received her first hair cut there. She was so serious the whole time!

Elise loved having brunch with PaPa and loved eating all the cupcakes!

Elise was very excited it was her turn to take home the "Pocket for Corduroy" book. We loved reading it and seeing what everyone else had written down.

Jameer loves Claire!

They have a big amusement park type thing inside the Bahrain mall and Elise and Lauren felt courageous enough to try this ride! They ended up loving it!

And here's the highlight of the last two weeks...my baby has lost her first tooth..at school! So thankful my friend, Heather was there and face timed me so I could talk to Elise right after it. She was thrilled and feels like a big girl! I'm happy she's happy..but boy do I wish she was still a little baby sometimes!

I worked a lot last week and Claire has been going to school. She really likes it!

Elise all dressed up for her winter concert at school!

We went down to Santa's workshop on the compound to snap a few pictures of them in their pajamas.

I had my last day of dance for the fall semester! It's been so fun teaching these girls how to dance!

Josh's softball team had their last game for the season. Jeanette and I drove down to watch it! It is a lot of fun to go to the Aramco compound.

Our Company put on a winter fest party! It was a lot of fun to get dressed up and spend a night with Josh's colleagues (and all of our neighbors)!
