Bahrain and Murjan Bazaar

We had a fun birthday party this week! The kids had a blast at Mikey's 7th birthday.

We got invited to a fun Halloween party at another compound.

I had to get a picture next to the Filipino bodyguards.=)

Now that the weather is cooling off, the flowers are blooming. We went to our local nursery and picked some up for the front porch.

Elise had virtual school day--which translates to Mommy teaches all day. We had a fun day going through her daily school routine. One of her activities was going to find a rock and write about it.

Josh had a day off of work!! Yay!! We spent the day at Starbucks and the grocery store. Turnaround is almost over and we can't wait to have him home on a normal schedule again.

The girls and I went to Bahrain for Amber's last trip before she repatriates. I was so happy to see Christmas stuff out! Saudi has NO Christmas anywhere.

We were a little adventurous and went to a pottery place that is not in a really great area of Bahrain. It is a very popular place as you can get some pottery for really good prices. It was interesting to talk to the owner and watch them make the pottery pieces.

The black flags leading up to the pottery store left us with a very ominous feeling.

One of our favorite reasons for going to Bahrain is getting a glass of wine--on this day my choice was Sangria.

While we were in Bahrain I got the message that Claire wasn't feeling well. This was just the beginning of a LONG week of her crying and no sleep for mommy or Claire.

The girls and I cramming into a taxi in Bahrain. Our driver was so nice and waited for us at the pottery place.

Our last stop in Bahrain is always at Rik's Kountry Kitchen for pork pizza and beer!

Enjoying our "fall" days at the beach!

We can't believe it, but our friends repatriated back to Saudi!!! The girls were so excited to have Lucy and Ellie back! We are also thrilled to be able to have Jeanette and Travis right down the street again!

We had our annual Murjan bazaar. Since Josh was working, we didn't stay too long this year, as Claire really wasn't feeling up to doing anything.

Elise loved making this kite one afternoon. It's been perfect kite weather.

The girls will tell you their highlight of the week was seeing Santa Claus!

My little tennis pro =)
